I was surfing the web and came across this great video by Leo Savage, founder of Steel Mace Flow. He answers the question “Why Steel Mace Flow”. I thought this would be a bad ass video I could transcribe with much love for the SMF team. As an SMF L1 Coach, I also knew that this would be a great piece to add to the knowledge hub for you (the warrior on the steel mace journey). Why else would you be on this website? You want to learn more about Steel Mace! Here is a system you need to check out and a beautiful man, doing beautiful things with mace in hand.
Make sure to watch the entire video because you get to see some of the GREATEST steel mace flow artists get down. Super inspiring and I hope to one day be as good (in the meantime, tons of practice). Thank you SMF!
Leo: I am a fucking pirate, I am a dreamer, I am a poet, I identify as a beautiful man. I am Leo Savage.
Interviewer: Why did you create Steel Mace Flow?
Leo: I created Steel Mace Flow out of necessity. I was in a great depression, dealing with alot of things and I used fitness like a lot of us to help navigate that journey. And since the journey was very unique, we came up with a very unique way to deal with that.
Interviewer: Why did you want to have an education team?
Leo: I wanted to have an education team because there was this intense moment. I had been teaching steel mace flow certifications and in October 13 and 14 2019 I thought “this is the coolest thing in the world”. Being able to help so many people and I thought to myself people need to feel this. And ever since I picked up the mace, from the very beginning, I just gave. And you know, my gift is that I am able to give. As a coach, as a leader, you have a couple different options, you can be the guy. For the time I was that guy, but I didn’t become the man until I started creating and helping others. And sharing my biggest gift – the art of steel mace flow. Being able to not only have students, but to take them all the way through the same way we went through – it’s one of the greatest honors I have ever had. So why wouldn’t you want to share that with your family?
May the universe always flow with you,
